Over the past weekend, wine enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and curious palates alike gathered at the Trademark Hotel, Village Market, for the eagerly awaited third edition of the Wine Fair. Themed ‘A Journey Around the World,’ this year’s event promised a captivating exploration of wines from diverse corners of the globe. And it certainly delivered.
Organized by Vino Events East Africa, this annual extravaganza has become a cornerstone of the Kenyan wine scene, providing a unique platform for wine lovers, importers, and producers to converge, exchange ideas, and indulge in delightful culinary experiences.
Judy Ngene, co-founder of Vino Events East Africa, emphasized the growing wine culture in Kenya and the broader East African region. “There is a demand for a wide variety of wines,” she noted, “which is why we have decided to include wines from other markets such as Moldova, Serbia, and Tanzania.” This expansion in offerings was a clear response to feedback from the previous editions, where attendees expressed their desire to explore wines from lesser-known wine-producing regions.
